I am an Actress and Journalist originally from Puerto Rico. I have experience working as a journalist for Spanish speaking audiences which provide me skills to extensively cover vocabulary, semantics and syntax, as well as the fundamentals of this language. I feel comfortable working with students from all ages due to my experience teaching theater to children and teenagers and assisting special education students in the academic environment. With my theater background I am prepared to apply artistic dynamics into the learning process of any subject. These dynamics consists in theater games developed by the founder of the Theater of the Oppressed, Augusto Boal which was influenced by the theorist and educator, Paulo Freire. This method is useful to discuss any social matter but also to present learning topics as well as to implement the practical aspect of any subject.
