Hello, my name is Kevin. I graduated in June 2017 from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Music Technology, after transferring from Riverside Community College with my A.S. in Math and Physics. I went back to school after having been in the work force for about 8 years and decided to finish my college degree. While in community college, I excelled in my math courses and was encouraged to participate in a volunteer tutor service through the school. I enjoyed it so much, and was able to help so many of my fellow students in their math courses, that for the remainder of my college career I continued to volunteer as a math tutor.
For roughly 5 years I tutored in subjects ranging from pre-algebra through the 3-part calculus series. In working with other students, I found that many times, students struggled with foundational material from previous courses, causing them to fall behind in the next class. Whether you are looking for minimal help with a few concepts, or feel overwhelmed and need to cover a lot of material, I will work with you to find out what concepts you may be struggling with and figure out the best way to relay the information that suits your learning style.
